A colourful master bedroom in Onerahi
The brief was to create a colourful master bedroom that was cozy and comfortable.
A space that was individual and unique,
where the owners’ love of colour and textiles were able to be fully indulged.
We selected vintage pieces to reflect the era of the home, which was built in the 1930’s,
and gave them a modern twist through use of colour and textiles.
Making the most of the high ceiling we specified a super tall bespoke headboard, locally made in New Zealand, which is the focal point of the room, and the cleverly chosen fabric serves to pull all of the elements together.
Vintage side tables were sourced, and dressed with quirky newly purchased lamps.
Neutral bedding was selected to add another texture,
and custom Anna Grace Design cushions were made to complete the space.
We sourced the preloved vintage freestanding wardrobe
and had it painted in pink to update it, and make the most of the detailing.
A custom squab with a nod to the art deco style of the home
was added to the window seat, creating an inviting seating area.
All aspects of this room were specified and procured/designed by Anna Grace Design.
