When these clients relocated north to make their Tutukaka holiday home their permanent residence, they wanted to preserve the relaxed beachfront spirit while elevating the interiors for everyday living. After Design Group Auckland completed the building work, Anna Grace Design was engaged to furnish and style the home — transforming it from casual bach to welcoming, refined retreat.
Many beautiful existing pieces were retained and refreshed, forming the foundation for a new concept that feels both relaxed and enduring. With the home sitting directly on the waterfront, a coastal palette remained essential, but the overall direction shifted toward a more sophisticated interpretation — calm, layered, and quietly luxurious while still comfortable and inviting.
The scope focused on the main lounge, primary bedroom, and exterior living area, along with updated window treatments in the dining room and guest bedrooms. We worked closely with the clients to design and install bespoke curtains, bedding, upholstery, cushions, and lighting to complement the existing wallpapers and artwork.
