These out-of-town clients engaged Anna Grace Design prior to settlement on their newly purchased holiday home, seeking guidance on colours, window treatments, and furnishings in a “Hamptons with a twist” style.
The four-bedroom, two-living-room property had strong bones and spectacular views, but lacked character and cohesion.
During the initial site visit, it became clear the home had far greater potential. We recommended a series of architectural enhancements — adding architraves to windows and doors, tongue-and-groove panelling to selected rooms, and a custom built-in bookcase for the day lounge. Several bedrooms were reconfigured to improve space and flow, and the primary ensuite underwent a full renovation. The clients embraced the vision, allowing the home to evolve from a standard build into a truly special retreat.
Designed as an escape from busy city life, the interiors prioritise calm, comfort, and effortless hosting for family and friends.
With the clients based out of town, Anna Grace Design worked closely with trusted trades and managed the entire process from concept through completion, ensuring a seamless experience and a beautifully executed result.
The finished home is calm, elegant, and deeply welcoming — a refined retreat designed for rest, connection, and long, unhurried stays. It now offers the perfect balance of sophistication and comfort, allowing its owners to step out of city pace and into holiday mode the moment they arrive.
